Odyta Bronder Forstall, 84, of Colonial Heights, passed away July 4, 2009. She was born in Bycina, Poland, on Jan. 28, 1925, to the late Lwdwig Bronder and Viktoria Samol. After World War II, she settled in Heidelberg, Germany, where she met and married her husband, Harold Forstall, on Dec. 31, 1955, and she became a U.S. citizen, May 2, 1960. She traveled the world for many years due to Harold's military service, having lived in Germany, France and Korea, and visited many countries, such as Austria, Luxemburg, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Great Britain and Hawaii. She was also a member of the German Speaking Darmenklub in the Tri-Cities area. Survivors include her husband, Harold Forstall; her brother, Herbert Bronder, who resides in Ergoldsbach, Germany; and many nieces and nephews, who also reside in Germany. The husband requests flowers because she loved flowers. Funeral service will take place 7 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2009, in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with Father Kilumbu Kisuka officiating. Burial will take place in Arlington National Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009. Randolph Kuhlmann PORTSMOUTH - Randolph C. G. Kuhlmann Sr., 55, went to be with the Lord on July 4, 2009. He was born on May 26, 1954 and had resided in Portsmouth for the last 29 years. He was a chief petty officer boiler technician for the U.S. Navy for 26 years. He also was a sergeant on the Portsmouth Auxiliary Police Force working in the detectives of homicide and robbery division for 21 years. Although he was devoted in a lot of personal ways, he also participated in various organizations such as being a certified motorcycle safety instructor. He was a Master Mason out of Churchland Lodge No. 276, and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason out of the Valley of Portsmouth. Recently, he received his membership as a shriner at the Khedive Shrine, Chesapeake. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Linda Kuhlmann; his eldest son, Randolph C.G. Kuhlmann II; daughter, Danielle Renay Gidding; youngest son, Ian C.C. Cunneen; granddaughter, Ashleigh R. Kuhlmann; four grandsons, Cole A. Gidding, Gabriel S. Gidding, Landon K. Gidding and Marley C. Cunneen. He is also survived by his mother; eldest brother, William A. Kuhlmann; two sisters and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. The celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9, at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth, with full police and Masonic honors.
